Two Montgomery County restaurants have received accolades in The Philadelphia Inquirer’s end-of-the-year restaurant round-up. Euro-fusion restaurant The Choice in Bryn Mawr and Bala Cynwyd’s Mediterranean fare eatery, Lark, are among the best Philly restaurants in 2022.

Ranked Most Memorable

Owned by two Ukrainian families, The Choice, at 845 Lancaster Avenue in Bryn Mawr, combines European, Asian, and Latin American cuisine. This restaurant has a humanitarian streak as well.

Their beloved borscht fundraiser scooped out $10 per order to Ukrainian relief funds, writes Craig LaBan. By April the restaurant raised over $5,000. The menu offers a diverse array of high-end dishes such as ceviche, lamb chops, sashimi, and French dishes.

Best New Restaurant

Lark, a coastal Mediterranean restaurant in Bala Cynwyd, is the brainchild of Top Chef winner Nicholas Elmi. The restaurant is located on a rooftop terrace of the Ironworks at Pencoyd Landing with a view of Manayunk Hills.

Guests can choose from the myriad of curated wines and craft cocktails. From hand-made pasta to sustainable seafood, picking a meal there may be a hard choice.
