Conshohocken-based ZeroEyes has been named a platinum winner of two 2022 “ASTORS,” Homeland Security Awards given out by American Security Today, an online publication from Belmar, N.J.

ZeroEyes — creator of the only AI-based gun detection video analytics platform that holds the U.S. Department of Homeland Security SAFETY Act Designation — was honored with designations for:

  • Best Metal/Weapons Detection Solution
  • Best Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

The annual ASTORS awards program, started in 2015, takes its name from the American Security Today‘s initials.

The initiative recognizes distinguished vendor solutions that provide enhanced value, benefit, and intelligence to end users in a number of government, homeland security, enterprise, and public safety vertical markets.

ZeroEyes, started by a group of former Navy SEALs, uses existing cameras and artificial intelligence to detect firearms to deter mass shootings. The company’s software identifies brandished guns and sends out alerts to safety personnel and local law enforcement within seconds from the moment a weapon is detected virtually.

“We are honored to be recognized by American Security Today as a leading organization striving to keep our nation and its citizens safe,” said Mike Lahiff, CEO and co-founder of ZeroEyes. “Our entire team works tirelessly to ensure that those utilizing our technology are protected against potential acts of gun-related violence.”
