Fans of TV’s ‘Friends’ Can Explore Its Sets Firsthand in King of Prussia in February
An upcoming exhibit of sets and props from the NBC hit Friends is coming to the King of Prussia Mall in Feb. 2023. Richard C. Kraus covered the event for WBRE/WYOU, Scranton, Wilkes Barre.
The traveling sets are in honor of the 25th anniversary of the show, which ran on NBC from September 1994 to May 2004.
The display’s presenters, in positioning this leg of a nationwide tour, have called the Montgomery County edition “The One Near Philadelphia,” mimicking the series’ distinct episode titles.
Visitors will be able to walk through Monica’s kitchen, dance around the fountain from the opening credits, and sit in the recliner à la Joey and Chandler.
Deeper experiences include peeking around the purple door of Rachel and Monica. And “helping” Ross and Chandler with the epic task of maneuvering Monica’s couch up a flight of stairs (“Pivot! Pivot! Pivot!”).
“The Friends Experience invites fans to step inside the world of the iconic series, relive their favorite moments and celebrate the show unlike ever before,” said Stacy Moscatelli, Co-President and Chief Strategy Officer of Original X Productions, a Seattle creator of location-based entertainment experiences.
The Friends Experience — “The One Near Philadelphia” — runs February 10 to May 9, 2023.
Tickets for this unique sitcom deep dive went on sale Dec. 15 and can be purchased on the Friends Experience website.
Additional details are at WBRE/WYOU.
