Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Coordinator, High School Programs and Educational Partnerships position.

The Coordinator, High School Programs and Educational Partnerships will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing strategies and activities that optimize enrollments by attracting new Educational Partnerships students to the College.

This position requires the ability to carry out the following tasks:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and implementing recruitment initiatives, admissions events, and college visit programs intended to enhance recruitment efforts and increase prospective student enrollment.
  • Effectively and consistently following up for prospective and returning students for High School Programs, & University Center.
    • Assisting them through the enrollment and continued matriculation.
  • Working collaboratively with all constituencies and partnerships,
    • Assisting and supporting recruitment initiatives.
  • Effectively using the Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) tool, Starfish, & Colleague to accurately document and assist prospective and matriculating students.
  • Following up with prospective students to ensure completion of the enrollment process by outreach in person, virtually, email or phone outreach with the necessary departmental staff (placement testing, advising, registration, and financial aid) to facilitate the inquiry to enrollment process. 
  •  Providing excellent service to students & partners for High School Programs, & University Center as well as ensure timely and solution focused follow up.
  • Representing the college at a variety of on and off-campus recruiting events.
    • This includes, but is not limited to high school visits, information session presentations, community- based organizations, presentations, college fairs, career transitions workshops, businesses and Open House programs. 
  • Preparing and supporting any necessary data requests and reporting for High School Programs and University Center reports. 
  • Working collaboratively with campus offices/departments to establish and coordinate recruitment activities and initiatives to support High School Programs, & University Center. 
  • Assessing recruitment efforts and making recommendations to adapt strategies as appropriate. This position has college-wide responsibilities and requires travel between all campuses and off-site locations. 
  • Performing other duties as assigned. 

Essential Knowledge & Skills: 

Education/Training/Work Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  •  3-5 years of experience and proven success in a consultative sales position in a higher education setting preferred. 
  • Ability to travel, work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity. 
  • Evidence of strong presentation, written, verbal skills and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Understanding of the Community College mission/philosophy, practice and population. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work with administrative computer hardware and software.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills. 
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to creatively problem solve. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

Specialized Knowledge & Skills: 

  • Demonstrated success in making higher educational opportunities accessible to underrepresented and non-traditional students. 
  • Demonstrated success in relationship building and community outreach. 
  • Demonstrated success in event management, planning and execution. 
  • Demonstrated experience working with Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) tools to support student success and retention.
