One of the benefits of the last several years has been an increasing number of companies becoming more receptive to the idea of employees not having to be on site all the time.

Some organizations are trying to transition workers back to offices, but certainly not all. As sites like FlexJobs highlight, quite a few companies are embracing employees having the freedom to work in the way that is best for them.

According to a survey from FlexJobs focusing on millennials, 82% of the respondents said that work-life balance is a major factor to them in evaluating a job opening. And 71% said they want significant work flexibility in their next job.

Some of the most common reasons given for prioritizing this was a desire to spend more time with family, avoiding commuting to work, gas prices, and having more free time.

83% of respondents said their ideal job would be telecommuting 100% of the time. But only 48% said they would want a job that only let them telecommute some of the time.

And when it comes to companies who do want workers back in the office, a lot of employees are electing to find work elsewhere in a place that accommodates their preferences.

So what companies are most welcoming of telecommuters? A diverse batch comprises the list, such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for those focused on the medical field.

Quicken Loans also ranks high for those with an interest in finance. Tech companies like Adobe make the list.

And even less specialized jobs wind up ranking high, such as working for CarMax. Even some retail companies are accommodating to worker flexibility, such as Wegmans.

Regardless of what field you are in, you can very likely find somewhere that is welcoming of workers not having a rigid structure of being on site all the time. It is just a matter of finding the right company in your particular line of work.

There are plenty more companies that also welcome work flexibility. If you want to see more options, check out this post from FlexJobs.
