Atop Quality Ranking of Montco High Schools Come Data on the Districts behind Them

In conjunction with the recently published list of top Montgomery County high schools comes a similarly themed Niche.com assessment of the Montco school districts in which they operate.

Niche has identified 11 of them to be among the top 50 school districts in Pa. for 2023.

To determine 2023’s best school districts, Niche analyzed U.S. Department of Education data, along with millions of reviews submitted by students and parents. Factors that were evaluated include state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ATC scores, and teacher quality.

The highest-ranked Montgomery County school district is Lower Merion School District, which once again placed fourth, with an average graduation rate of 97 percent.

  • Wissahickon School District, No. 13
  • Colonial School District, No. 18
  • Spring-Ford Area School District, No. 19
  • Lower Moreland Township School District, No. 22
  • Perkiomen Valley School District, No. 33
  • North Penn School District, No. 38
  • Jenkintown School District, No. 41
  • Abington School District, No. 48
  • Upper Merion Area School District, No. 49
