Manatawny Still Works in Pottstown is planning to open two new tasting rooms later this year, in Ardmore on the Main Line and Philadelphia’s Fishtown area, writes Donna Rovins for the Daily Local News.

“We identified a couple of areas we thought we would do well,” said Max Pfeffer, Manatawny Still Works’ distiller. “The Main Line is an untapped market and Fishtown — because it’s a cool place to be in Philly right now.”

The Ardmore tasting room will be located at 49 Lancaster Avenue and is slated to open by fall. The North Lee Street location in Fishtown will open soon after.

Both locations will serve as a place to buy Manatawny Still Works’ line of spirits and somewhere to sit down and enjoy a cocktail mixed using those house spirits.

This year’s expansion will provide the company with more touchpoints and make it more convenient for people from across the region to visit Manatawny Still Works.

“They come back and they kept us alive during the pandemic,” said Pfeffer. “Those customers are what keep us going. It’s really important to develop the relationship with customers.”
