Fort Washington-based Fabspeed helps car enthusiasts improve their rides and make them truly one-of-a-kind by turning their most creative automobile enhancements into reality, according to a staff report from 6abc.

Joe Fabiani, the company’s founder, worked as a successful New York City investment banker for years but he knew his true passion was performance automobiles. He spent most of his spare time modifying his Porsche to make it as unique as possible.

After a while, others started asking for his services and he soon found his hobby to be too big for the family garage. So he decided to quit his job and focus on a new career.

He opened Fabspeed when the after-market performance parts and accessories industry was mostly a European-only market.

Today though, the company has customers from all over the world who are ordering its exclusive hand-made products.

Fabspeed offers them “aftermarket performance accessories to enhance the sportscars sound, make more power, and let people personalize their cars so they don’t all sound or look the same,” said Fabiani.
