Grocery Outlet, a California-based extreme-value grocery retailer, has expanded its footprint in Pennsylvania and the Northeast with a new location in Lansdale, writes Diane Adam for the Winsight Grocery Business.

The retailer’s new store opened on April 28. It will create close to 25 new jobs for the community and offer savings on name-brand, high-quality merchandise to shoppers.

“Grocery Outlet offers the same trusted brands as traditional grocery stores, but at lower prices,” said the retailer. “Its buyers scour the country to find the top manufacturers with excess inventory and seasonal closeouts so the store can offer ‘wow savings’ on thousands of name-brand products at significantly lower prices.”

The stores are independently operated by local families who are dedicated to supporting their communities. Lansdale Grocery Outlet is operated by Todd Orr and Claudia Aguayo.

“We are overjoyed to be a part of the Lansdale community and be able to provide big savings on quality groceries,” said the pair.

At the opening, the couple presented a $1,000 donation to Manna on Main Street and donated $500 to North Penn School District.

Additionally, shoppers may enter for a chance to win $1,000 in groceries from now through May 26.
