This spring, discover all that Montgomery County Community College has to offer by attending an open house event in person or online.

MCCC is set to host spring open house events live at each of its three locations in Lansdale, Blue Bell and Pottstown, as well as an entirely virtual event.

The series of events begins at the Culinary Arts Institute, 1400 Forty Foot Road, Lansdale Saturday, March 26, from 10 a.m. to noon.

The event will include opportunities for small group tours of the facility to learn more about the culinary arts, tourism and hospitality, and baking and pastry programs. There will also be representatives from the Admissions and Student Support Services offices available outside the building to answer questions.

“There may also be some light snacks for guests to sample, made by our Culinary Arts students,” said Michael Harcum, Associate Director of Admissions and Dual Enrollment.

The series continues at Blue Bell Campus, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell, Saturday, April 2 from 10 a.m. to noon. This event will be primarily held outside in the quad area.

Prospective students will have the opportunity to connect in person with representatives from the offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, Career Services, Student Support Services, Adult Learner Resources, Workforce Development, Athletics including esports, and more. Students will have the opportunity to explore the campus grounds, chat with alumni and take small tours of the facilities.

Then MCCC will host a third open house across the street from Pottstown Campus at the SRT Pavilion, 140 College Drive, Pottstown, Saturday, April 9 from 10 a.m. to noon. As with Blue Bell, during this outdoor-only event, attendees will have a chance to meet with representatives from the offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, Career Services, Student Support Services, Adult Learner Resources, Workforce Development and Athletics.

Additionally, in conjunction with the campus’ 25^th anniversary, the event will showcase the exciting, new opportunities coming soon to campus, including the Challenger Learning Center and the Wellness Center, which will provide comprehensive assistance for individual needs, including access to in-person mental health therapy and the Stock-Up for Success Food Pantry.

“In addition, we continue to offer a host of other free services for students,” said Harcum, “including our online therapy service, which connects students with dedicated, licensed therapists. We also offer a 24/7 online tutoring platform for those who need it.”  

Please note, each of the three in-person events is subject to inclement weather and/or MCCC’s health and safety protocols. Be sure to visit the College’s homepage on the day of the event to confirm its status.

Finally, MCCC will host an online open house Thursday, April 21, from 6 to 7 p.m. All prospective students, whether they attended an in-person event or not, are invited to attend the virtual program.

“We’re super excited to offer several different modalities to meet students where they are,” said Harcum. “We are mindful of the fact we’re still living in a pandemic. That’s why if you’re looking for an in-person experience, we have that for you. If you’d prefer to have a remote experience instead, we have that for you too. We want to make sure we’re standing by our commitment as the community’s college of access to meet you where you are with comfort and information in order for you to be a successful Mustang.”

MCCC takes a holistic approach to providing a successful educational experience for all students, addressing academic, essential, and financial needs. To keep higher education affordable and reduce student debt, tuition has been frozen for the fifth consecutive year. MCCC also offers scholarships.
