Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Director of Equity, Diversity, and Belonging (EDB) position.

The Director of EDB supports the mission of the College by developing programming and initiatives that create a diverse and inclusive learning and work environment for all members of the College community.

The director advances the president’s strategic priorities for equity and belonging through internal and external partnerships that create professional development opportunities, training, and engagement programming.

This position also supports Human Resources to ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action laws and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training/Work Experience:

  • Master’s degree required in Human Resources or a related field. Juris Doctorate is preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in employee relations, EEO, and Diversity/Inclusion is required.
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills, including proficiency related technologies for communications, social media, data analysis, and presentations.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, understands how decisions fit within the overall college agenda, and navigate through the strategic environment.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

  • Ability to embody the mission and values of the College.
  • Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality, and a strong work ethic.
