Montgomery County and Bucks County Mourns Losses of PA State Troopers Branden T. Sisca and Martin F. Mack III, Struck Down on I-95

By

PA State Trooper Martin Mack III, once a member of the lacrosse coaching staff at Truman High School in Levittown, was killed in an early-Monday-morning traffic accident on I-95. He was just 33, Branden T. Sisca was only 29. Philly Lacrosse had the tragic story.

Mack, from Bristol, was on patrol with another local trooper Branden Sisca, who also served as the Chief of the Trappe Fire Company.

They were aiding a driver who had left his own car and was walking the highway near the South Philadelphia sports complexes.

The two officers left their state car in the left-hand lane and were attempting to lead the man to their vehicle when all three were struck and killed.

The impact was forceful enough to throw them from the southbound lane to the northbound one, according to Pa. State Police Capt. James Kemm.

The driver responsible for the fatal impact, reportedly driving at a high rate of speed, had been compromised by alcohol, and has been arrested.

A statement from Pa. Reps. John Galloway, Tina Davis, and Frank Farry read: “Trooper Mack … made the ultimate sacrifice, dying while trying to bring someone to safety.”

“He was an awesome addition to our family,” he said. “He would work long hours and still show up for the players. The countless hours he has dedicated to our players has left a huge imprint on all of them.”

Our thoughts are with their families, friends, and their communities at this time.
