The Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (VFTCB) partnered with Simpleview, a leading provider in the travel and tourism industry for CRM, CMS, website design, to introduce its brand new website.

The mobile-friendly site, which serves as a hub for Montgomery County, PA tourism, was designed to include digital marketing trends such as horizontal scrolling, video optimization, and a clear user interface.

It speaks to visitors in a whole new way, and makes it easier than ever to book hotel stays and virtually explore the county with new map features.

“It’s hard to believe that the website re-design has been a year in the making,” said Maureen DiLello, VFTCB Digital Marketing Manager. “The timing of the launch could not be more perfect. As tourism demand continues to increase, consumers are looking for ways to travel. Using the latest design trends and market research, we designed a clean, user-friendly, and invigorating website.”

Traffic has improved steadily since the launch. Starting January 1st, 2022 the tourism board has seen a 25% YOY increase in website traffic. The VFTCB’s website typically generates more than 1.5 million page views per year.

The VFTCB’s recent #MakeItMontco Experience and Make it Main Street campaigns drive users to the new website via served digital and social media ads, and through several other marketing outlets.

Also new this year, the board partnered with Zartico for a first in the region: using geolocation data to track visitor movement throughout Montgomery County – where people are going, and how they’re spending.

Zartico is the provider of the world’s first destination operating system. It takes intelligence, analytics, and data visualizations and combines it with context and strategic input to support a Destination Marketing Organization’s data-driven decisions in real-time.

“The future of business revolves around data and technology improvements,” said Joe Bates, VFTCB Research Specialist. “Partnering with advanced companies that specialize in tourism growth will help take our DMO to the next level.”

“Our new website will not only drive tourism to the area,” continued DiLello, “but will also inspire others to fall in love with Montgomery County.”
