The Videographer is responsible for producing and editing engaging videos. The candidate will manage and maintain files and assets for video projects, along with cataloging and organizing footage.

The Videographer will support all aspects of video strategy development, storyboarding, pre-production planning, post-production fulfillment, editing, filming, managing third party assistance during production, and fulfilling of completed projects.

  1. Manage all aspects of physical production, including creating internal budgets and estimates for assigned productions along with Executive Producer and Creative Leads Run reports to identify opportunities for optimization (keywords, creative text ads, spend, etc.)
  2. Manage & grow roster of freelance producers, directors, and various production crew in all major markets 
  3. Manage pre-production (including negotiating internal/external bids and liaising with beMarketing legal in drafting and executing vendor/talent/clearance agreements  
  4. Supervise live action shoots (including hiring and managing freelance production crews as an internal production company, hire & manage external production services and traditional production companies), and supervising editorial sessions through delivery
  5. Produce projects ranging from branded content to social content, digital only videos (short & long form)
  6. Maintain oversight of wrap and reconciliation of production budgets, managing producers and production managers through that process.  
  7. Help in organizing and scheduling internal resources to support assigned productions  
  8. Work hand in hand with legal, music services, payroll companies and finance, to manage clearances, cost reporting and best practices for all assigned broadcast and digital content productions  
  9. Direct projects when feasible and appropriate 
  10. Act as the client facing production liaison as needed 
  11. Track status of active productions, and report status into senior management
  12. Maintain meticulous production organization and process
  13. Mentor and train junior production team members
  14. Communicative: You know that communication is essential throughout all stages of pre-production, production, and post.

Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S   

  1. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
    1. Bachelor’s in Design, Graphic Design, Video, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, PR, Communications, Information Science, Business or related major 
    1. 1-3 years of Video Production Experience
    1. Proven experience reporting data and analytics to senior management
    1. Familiarity with social media applications and best practices 

(Blogs, Facebook, Instagram, Yelp, Twitter, YouTube)

  • An understanding of basic marketing principles
    • Technical ability and knowledge of photography
  • SKILLS
    • The ideal Videographer candidate is willing to jump right in – and is very comfortable with cameras; what makes a dynamic composition and how to make the most of available light. Also, would know what needs to go into an edit to capture audience attention and tell the story
    • Strong project management skills 
    • Ability to create pre-production assets such as visual storyboards 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional team members on concepts through completion
    • Manage digital assets from multiple sources
    • Leadership: During production, you understand that you are the person that sets the tone for cast and crew •           Collaboration: You work well with others to create content that is greater than the sum of its parts
