Penn State Great Valley has announced the return of in-person community events.

Beginning on Sept. 13, the campus’s Henry Art Gallery will host the Da Vinci Art Alliance exhibit “Celebration of Trees,” which supports improved environmental policies and draws attention to climate change.

The opening reception will be held on Thursday, Sept. 30 at 6 PM.

Sandra Spanier, Penn State Edwin Erle Sparks Professor of English and general editor of the Hemingway Letters Project, will come to campus on Thursday, Nov. 4 to discuss the project to publish Hemingway’s 6,000 surviving letters and the adventures involved in pursuing Hemingway’s trail, which led around the world.

The fall lineup of events concludes on Wednesday, Nov. 17, when William C. Kashatus, author of William Still: The Underground Railroad and the Angel at Philadelphia, discusses the operation of the Underground Railroad and free Black abolitionist William Still’s role as the primary agent of that secret route to freedom.
