NBC10’s Bala Cynwyd studio has been sold.

The former NBC10 television studio in Bala Cynwyd has been sold to an affiliate of Susquehanna International Group for an undisclosed amount, writes Natalie Kostelni for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The building with the 393 E. City Avenue address located at Monument Road was put up for sale by Comcast in 2017 as NBC prepared to move its broadcasting studios to Center City, to the new Comcast Technology Center.

Susquehanna had been one of the early contenders for the property.

A representative from the secretive and fast-growing investment company confirmed the purchase of the building and stated that there were no immediate plans for its use.

The three-story, 97,614-square-foot building had served as the NBC10 television studio for more than six decades.

It was originally owned by CBS.

Other than NBC10, the building was also home to Telemundo studios. Both stations are owned by Comcast and have since moved to the company’s new skyscraper in Philadelphia.

The NBC10 television studio property sits on 5.12 acres in a high-profile location within an area of City Avenue that was specifically rezoned to attract denser and more pedestrian-friendly mixed-use development.
