After thirty years in Chesterbrook, AmerisourceBergen has officially moved into its new headquarters in Conshohocken, writes Natalie Kostelni for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The 11-story office building is part of Sora West, Keystone Property Group’s $325 million mixed-use development that also includes a hotel and two restaurants.

The Fortune 500 company has consolidated the corporate offices that totaled 190,000 square feet in Chesterbrook and the 105,000-square-foot space it occupied Conshohocken into one of the Millennium buildings at its new headquarters.

“While always a big employer in this area, it was always under the radar,” said Gina Clark, AmerisourceBergen’s chief communications officer. “We really needed to create a headquarters where the core of leadership could come together.”

AmerisourceBergen currently has 1,100 employees in the region, with the new headquarters having room for a total of 1,800 to 2,000 staff.

The company is using a hybrid model it calls “Work Smart Platform” and is not expecting to reach the building’s capacity.

The interior of the building was designed by Gensler. The company focused on three main design themes: nature, arts n’ crafts, and technology.

The amenities in the building include a café, fitness center, training rooms, and a technology desk, among others.
