Meridian Bank recognizes its responsibility to enrich the communities it serves. Since the bank’s inception in 2004, it has contributed millions of dollars to local charitable organizations and civic institutions.

In Pennsylvania, the EITC (Educational Improvement Tax Credit) Program allows eligible businesses to receive tax credits in exchange for donations to pre-approved charitable and/or civic organizations.

Meridian annually takes advantage of this program to channel needed funding to nonprofits, organizations, and charities within its service footprint in Pennsylvania.

One of the nonprofits that have benefited from the bank’s contributions is the Chester County History Center, which recently received a $5,000 EITC donation from the bank.

“CCHC is immensely grateful for the support that the Bank provides,” said Conor Hepp, President of the Chester County History Center. “It’s because of this support that we are able to provide programming to the students in our area during this difficult time.”

CCHC inspires, informs, and builds community identity by preserving and sharing the remarkable story of Chester County and its people. It is widely regarded as one of the state’s premier history museums and educational centers and plays an important role in history education, cultural diversity, and economic impact in southeastern Pennsylvania.

“Meridian Bank was founded and is headquartered right here in Chester County, so we are happy to continue our support of the Chester County History Center and its work to preserve history and educate our community on our county’s rich past,” said Geoff Sheehan, Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending at Meridian Bank.
