The Lincoln Center for Family and Youth is hiring two board- certified Behavior Specialists, one part time and one full time, for a Philadelphia school.

The behavior specialists will help TLC fulfill its mission of offering support to students and their families so those students can reach their full potential.

TLC is a non-profit education and human services organization serving students and families in the Greater Philadelphia Area for 50 years.

It provides innovative alternative educational practices and socioemotional/mental health services through its extensively trained staff of professionals.

By providing mobile counseling services, TLC empowers students and clients, giving them access to the resources they need to be successful now, and in the future.

Some of the responsibilities of a Behavior Specialist include:

· Facilitating and assisting in the development and identification of resources and support information for students and their families.

· Providing model teaching and other direct instructional supports including but not limited to practicum.

· Developing and implementing assessment tools; conducting functional assessments and analyses.

· Meeting with families, teachers or doctors to discuss the student’s treatment and progress and recommend ways to address behavioral issues.

A hallmark of TLC is the value it places on each client and student, connecting with genuine care, without judgement. The intent is to model healthy interaction in a safe place.

TLC staff will adjust their approach to meet the needs, goals, and strengths of each person they serve, so every client and student feels safe and able to grow, learn and heal.
