Mayor Stephanie Henrick.

Stephanie Henrick was born in Orange County, California, and found her way to the East Coast via Villanova University for a B.A. in English and Math, with a minor in Sociology. She attended Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg, then to the Delaware campus.

Grad school found her back at ‘nova nation to obtain an LLM in Taxation with a Certificate in Estate Planning.

Currently, she is an attorney with the firm Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP, as well as Mayor of Pottstown.

Her proudest professional accomplishment happened in the courtroom. “After a hearing last year, I was praised on my cross-examination skills by the Judge. This was a huge moment for me, considering I’m terrified of public speaking and do not consider myself a litigator by any means,” Stephanie Henrick notes.

She credits her best friend and life partner, Richard Zimmerman, with the biggest impact on her career. “Without his constant support, encouragement, and words of wisdom, I would never have run for Mayor nor had the courage to advance my legal career,” she declares.

As Mayor of Pottstown, she loves living and working in Montgomery County because it is a diverse, tight-knit walkable/bikeable community filled with arts, culture, entertainment, delicious restaurants, and adventure.

“There are very few places where you can grab a latte and avocado toast on your way to catch a matinee of Beauty and the Beast, participate in the Sly Fox goat races, kayak on the Schuylkill River, create a work of art at ArtFusion, or Cosmic Art Studio, play a game of pool or ax throwing, grab an adult beverage at local breweries/distilleries, satisfy your craving for any type of cuisine, followed by live music at Rivet, all in one day. And that’s just in Pottstown! It is absolutely beautiful here. Who wouldn’t want to live here?” she states.
