Montgomery County Community College Foundation’s fundraising campaigns are available online as it launches a new crowdfunding hub to promote initiatives that will benefit students and community members.

“Crowdfunding allows us to share MCCC’s projects with the community to increase awareness and engagement,” said Joseph Gallagher, Chair of the MCCC Foundation Board of Directors. “It gives donors the flexibility and convenience to support projects that are of interest to them and to see the impact of their gifts.”

MCCC will be highlighting different initiatives throughout the year on the crowdfunding hub where anyone easily can make online donations and share the information via social media.

In addition, supporters may join in the fundraising efforts by creating and sharing their own pages from the crowdfunding platform using the “Get Started” button.

MCCC’s current crowdfunding campaigns include:

  • First-Generation Student Scholarships — At MCCC’s 2021 Commencement, 388 students were first-generation college graduates. As the first in their families to attend college, these students had to learn to navigate a new environment when they started their educational pathways. For many, scholarships helped them to persevere through the challenges caused by the pandemic.
  • Lively Arts Series – For nearly four decades, MCCC’s Lively Arts Series has provided the community with world-class performances in music, dance and theater, as well as thought-provoking lectures and educational programs for children and youth. MCCC currently is renovating the Science Center Theater, which is scheduled for completion in 2022. In the meantime, performances are being held offsite. For more information, visit
  • 25th Anniversary of the Pottstown Campus — MCCC’s Pottstown Campus opened its doors in 1996 with 300 students at 101 College Drive and has been an educational anchor in the community ever since. This year, MCCC will be celebrating 25 years of serving the Pottstown area and will open the first Challenger Learning Center in Pennsylvania on its campus.

Established in 1983, the Montgomery County Community Foundation provides scholarships for deserving students; grants for faculty projects, equipment and technology; emergency funds for students; support for cultural enrichment activities on campus; and financial resources for other programs and activities.
