Malvern Bank Appoints Rachel Heist to Assistant VP, Continues to Expand Its Brand to Equestrian Market

Malvern Bank, National Association has appointed Rachel Heist to Assistant Vice President, Personal Banker and added her to the bank’s equestrian division.

“Rachel is known within the equestrian space not only through her experience as a hunter jumper but also education in equine management,” said Malvern Bank CEO Anthony C. Weagley. “The bank continues to expand the Malvern brand to the equestrian market as we have a team of employees that understand firsthand the financial needs of these businesses. We look forward to Rachel working in Chester County to provide support to local equestrians.”

Heist, a 2019 graduate of Delaware Valley University with a degree in equine management, has a background in equine, personal, and commercial insurance. While at Delaware Valley, she competed on the Hunt Seat team and was Regional Champion in Open Over Fences in 2017.

During her junior career, she showed successfully in the hunters and equitation. She has several wins in National Hunter Derbies under her belt. Some of her other accomplishments include Gittings Horsemanship Finals Champion and Zone 2 Hunter Finals Champion in the Junior Hunters in 2014.

Heist plans to combine her experience in the insurance industry with her personal connections to the equestrian world to provide an exceptional banking experience to her clients.

Prior to Malvern Bank, she worked at Smith Insurance Associates. She also interned at Brown & Brown Insurance in the Equine and Personal Lines Department. While at Smith Insurance Associates, she received her license in Property and Casualty.

Through the Equestrian Business Division, Malvern Bank is able to tailor programs to individuals and businesses and prides itself on its ability to structure loans based on individual needs. Malvern Bank offers lending services for equestrian properties and equipment, a high yield money market account for equestrians, and can handle client deposits, insurance, and investment management.
