Montco Residents Without Email or Internet Access Can Now Pre-register for COVID-19 Vaccine by Phone

Montgomery County residents who do not have an email address or internet access are now able to pre-register for the COVID-19 vaccine by phone, writes Ximena Conde for the WHYY.

The program is being run in partnership between the Office of Senior Services and Mon Ami, a technology company that serves older people.

According to the Chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners Dr. Val Arkoosh, around 160 volunteers have undergone thorough background checks and have been fully trained to work the hotlines.

Residents who use the phone to pre-register will receive a call back notifying them of available vaccination appointment openings.

“After thorough training and onboarding, we are so pleased to have this program up and running,” said Arkoosh. “Our goal is to get the vaccine to anyone who wants it once our supply increases.”

The number to call for pre-registration is 833-875-3967.

However Arkoosh did emphasize that it may take up to 12 weeks for those who have registered to hear back about any openings for appointments.
