Extremely cold weather and an abundance of snow is keeping Harleysville Ace Hardware in Harleysville busiest than it has been in five years, reports Miguel Martinez-Valle for NBC10 Philadelphia.

On the days when more snowfall is expected, the store is having trouble keeping up with the demand. Salt, shovels, and sleds have been sliding off the shelves faster than the store staff is able to restock them.

“Everyone is out of them,” said Howard Wood, Lawn and Garden Manager at Harleysville Ace Hardware.

“So we try to find some other sources and get in what we can to keep up with the demand.”

Just on Saturday, the store had already sold 150 shovels by noon. So far this winter, nearly 2,000 shovels were sold altogether, indicating a very good start to the year for the store.

And with the weather not letting up, Montgomery County residents keep returning to Ace Hardware for more supplies.

However the store has ensured to schedule extra shipments so that people who might need more supplies have a place where they can get them.
