What better way to celebrate Presidents Day than with cast members from the San Francisco production of the hit Broadway show Hamilton?

Broadway performers Tia Altinay and Fergie L. Philippe will kick off a series of live, virtual events as part of West Chester University’s 38th Annual Presidential Scholarship Community Gala.

Altinay and Philippe will share behind-the-scenes stories and perform two Hamilton songs on Monday, Feb. 15 at 7 PM. $100 provides log-in access to the event and can be purchased by clicking here. Attendance is capped at 100. For more information, contact the Events Office at events@wcufoundation.org.

Each year, the gala draws more than 300 members of the community to an event that is dedicated to the continued academic success of West Chester University students. Since its inception in 1983, the benefit has raised more than $1.2 million dollars for WCU students through a renewable, four-year Presidential Scholarship, which is designed to provide financial assistance to students who have demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence.

Remaining events in the live, virtual gala series include:

  • Cartooning with a Disney Artist on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 2 PM
  • Wayne Hoffman in Distant Deceptions: An Interactive Virtual Mind-Reading & Illusion Show on Thursday, April 1 at 7 PM
  • Drag Queen Bingo on Friday, April 9 at 7 PM
