The new location will employ 12 foodservice professionals and offer more than 6,500 essentials preferred by chefs and restaurateurs.

The Restaurant Store, a division of the Lancaster-based Clark Associates, has recently opened its tenth location this time in East Norriton, writes Gary Puleo for The Times Herald.

The new store is located in the former Sears Appliance and Hardware Store and is referred to by the company as its Plymouth Meeting location.

“The Plymouth Meeting designation was chosen because it is widely known around Philadelphia and the surrounding counties,” said Rachel Pluck, digital marketing manager.

The new location will employ 12 foodservice professionals and offer more than 6,500 essentials preferred by chefs and restaurateurs, as well as the region’s residents.

“People do think that when they walk in that we only sell to restaurant people, but we are open to the general public,” said Janet Vazquez, inventory manager.

The company even offers an optional membership program for the general public with many exclusive perks.

The Restaurant Store decided to open its new location due to the thriving independent restaurant and bar scene in the area.

“Because the store is located close to U.S. Route 202, Interstate 476 (I-476) and I-276 the Pennsylvania Turnpike, it is easily accessible to restaurateurs around the region,” said Pluck.
