Update: Here Are the Montgomery County ZIP Codes Where COVID-19 Has Spread the Most in the Last Week

ZIP code 19436, Gwynedd, saw its number of cases rise to between 10 and 11 percent.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is still increasing nationwide and across the state, with some areas of Montgomery County affected more than others, write Sean Adams and Megan Lavey-Heaton for the Penn Live Patriot-News.

The latest numbers compiled by Pennsylvania Department of Health highlight the rates of COVID-19 infection in each ZIP Code statewide for the seven days ending January 6 compared to infection rates for the seven days prior.

The highest percentage increase in Montgomery County during this period could be found in ZIP Code 19492 (Frederick.) Here there was nearly a doubling in the number of confirmed cases at 89 percent, rising from 36 to 68.

Meanwhile, ZIP Code 19044 (Horsham) recorded an uptick in cases of 14 percent, going from 486 to 556.

Next is ZIP code 19428 (Conshohocken/Plymouth Meeting,) which saw an increase of 11 percent, moving it up from 595 to 663 cases.

Finally, ZIP code 19436 (Gwynedd) saw its number of cases rise from 9 to between 10 and 11 percent.
