Experts are expecting to see a return of tourists to the Philly region next year

With the COVID-19 vaccine rollout underway and the placement of Philadelphia on the Conde Nast gold list of eight “Best Destinations in the World,” experts are expecting to see a return of tourists to the region next year, according to a staff report from 6abc.

It is also believed that Pennsylvania Convention Center will once again host large events at the end of 2021.

Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau hosted a webinar  recently with Dr. David Nash, Dean Emeritus of Jefferson’s College of Population Health.

Nash said that while the coronavirus will be around well into the following year, the country is headed in the right direction. And as more vaccines are administered, the region will start to welcome back those who are ready to travel.

“What’s their comfort level? And when they come to a great city like ours, we’ll be ready,” Nash said.

This placement on the prestigious Conde Nast’s list is also expected to draw even more people to the city when people can move freely again once more.
