Lansdale’s Backyard Beans Coffee Company, owned by Matt and Laura Adams, has expanded its operations with a newly opened coffee shop in downtown Ambler, writes Rachel Ravina for the Montgomery Media.

The original Lansdale location has both a coffee packaging operation and a coffee shop.

The pair tested the waters in Ambler for the first time five years ago at Ambler Farmers Market. After they were embraced by the community, they decided to begin looking for a space in 2018.

“After we opened Lansdale, we were looking at potential places that we could expand to,” said Matt. “So Ambler just made sense.”

They eventually found the perfect property and were working on getting it ready when COVID-19 interfered. The pandemic delayed construction and also affected the layout of the new shop by creating an emphasis on takeout, curbside, and contactless service being incorporated into the design.

However now the preparations have been finalized, the owners are “very much looking forward to working alongside our neighbors in Ambler and contributing to the community here,” said Laura.

The new shop has the same coffee and food menu offerings as the Lansdale location.
