BrightView Holdings in Blue Bell is rewarding its frontline team members for their work during the peak of the COVID-19 outbreak with bonuses, writes Jimmy Miller for the Lawn & Landscape.

The company has set aside $6 million for one-time bonuses that will be paid to more than 13,500 employees at its branches across the country.

When the pandemic started to spread, federal and state officials designated landscaping as an essential service. This allowed the company to continue serving its clients throughout the year.

“For our frontline team members, this meant working outside, day after day, providing those essential services,” said BrightView President and CEO Andrew Masterman. “This bonus is our way of acknowledging their work and commitment to BrightView and our clients under very difficult circumstances.”

Those eligible to receive the bonus include the frontline workers and leaders who were working for the company on May 1, 2020, and remained with BrightView through October 31, 2020, in its maintenance, development, golf maintenance, and tree care businesses.

“Every employee in every role has stepped up during this challenging time and made significant contributions to BrightView,” said Masterman.
