Montgomery County Community College will host two virtual 2020 Fall Online Open House events beginning Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 3PM. to 5PM and again on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10AM to 12PM.

During each open house, students will have the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of event programming, panels and presentations to learn about flexible programs, discover affordable ways to pay for college, and to ask questions during live Q&A breakout rooms.

“We’ll be operating in a virtual space but we want students to know we are still here to serve them,” said Brie Kulp, Coordinator of Admissions and Dual Enrollment.

“They’ll still be able to meet and speak with faculty virtually and members of different departments who will be able to answer their questions.”

Other programs that will be highlighted during the Open House events include Montco Connect, a new platform that provides student engagement opportunities like student government and various clubs.

Additionally, dual enrollment for students who would like take college level courses in high school, free virtual support services including online therapy offered through Talkspace, and 24/7 tutoring services will be highlighted.

“As a community college, we hold true to the mission of providing access,” said Michael Harcum, Associate Director of Admissions and Dual Enrollment, “regardless of atmosphere, whether it’s a physical or virtual space. We are committed to ensuring that all students receive what they need to be successful through intentional design of the college experience.”

The events are free and open to the public, but registration is required for each day.
