With Montgomery County moving into the green phase, King of Prussia Mall has reopened on Friday with face masks requirements for staff and customers and safety protocols to help maintain social distancing, writes Virginia Streva for the Philly Voice.

These safety measures are detailed in a 10-page document that covers areas such as directed traffic flow, managed occupancy limits, and spacing in the dining/seating areas of the mall.

Additionally, play areas remain closed and drinking fountains are turned off. Valet service also remains suspended.

Shoppers will be provided free face masks and sanitizing wipes at entrances and will also have their temperature checked. Staff will also have to wear masks and have their temperature checked. Anybody with a temperature over 100.4 or exhibiting flu-like symptoms will be sent home.

Simon Property Group, the mall’s owner, has enhanced cleaning of high-touch surfaces throughout the property, including within the stores. Special attention is being given to dining areas, restrooms, escalators, directories, and trash bins.

The mall currently operates at reduced hours from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
