This year’s National Travel and Tourism Week will spotlight resilience and hope in the face of the coronavirus pandemic with its “Spirit of Travel” theme.

The annual celebration of the contributions and accomplishments of the U.S. travel industry is celebrated the first full week in May. The 37th iteration will take place from May 3 to May 9 and will use this opportunity to unite the industry and elevate the role it will play in the nation’s economic recovery.

Since the hallmark in-person rallies and events are not permitted this year, Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board is engaging by helping spread the word on social media, through public relations, and sharing with the community.

“There’s no doubt this has been an incredibly challenging time for Montgomery County,” said  Mike Bowman, President and CEO of the VFTCB, “but we see National Travel and Tourism Week as an opportunity to remind our visitors and our residents of the incredible spirit and resiliency of the travel industry and our workforce.”

He added that once this crisis is over, “Valley Forge & Montco will be more ready than ever to welcome travelers with open arms.”
