T-Shirts Made by North Wales’ DJB Specialties Encourage Residents to Stay ‘#MontCoStrong’
David Blank, owner of DJB Specialties in North Wales, has joined forces with the Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board to create #MONTCOSTRONG T-shirts to help those who need it the most during the coronavirus pandemic, writes Greg Argos for CBS Philly.
Blank knows what it is like to find yourself down on your luck as on February 25, his store burned down. But with help from the community, he was soon able to rent temporary space. Within a month, he was ready to pay it forward by printing the fundraising T-shirts.
“All of the proceeds from these shirts go to help those who are most in need in Montgomery County,” said Blank.
So far, over 300 shirts have been sold. The goal is to reach 1,000, with all the money set to be deposited into the county’s emergency relief fund.
For Blank, it was very important to show the community the same support he got when he most needed it.
“Pay it forward, because you never know when you’re going to need it,” Blank said.
