Justin Weathers, who co-owns three locations of Stove & Tap in Montgomery and Chester counties and The Bercy in Ardmore with Joe Monnich, is cautiously optimistic about the effects of cocktails to-go on the future of his businesses, writes Jenn Ladd for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

“Just starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel here,” he said.

His spirits sales saw an uptick over Memorial Day weekend thanks to the newly legal cocktails.

“It easily added 30 percent to all of our revenues and actually helped push the decision for us to open our Malvern Stove & Tap,” he said.

The Malvern location relaunched earlier this week with a drive-through and hot dog giveaway.

Other eateries in the Philadelphia area have also noticed some improvements in their spirits sales thanks to their latest addition as eager customers formed lines – with proper social distancing – to get their favorite alcoholic concoctions.

“The cocktail of the year is going to be the margarita,” said Weathers, who cited the drink as one of the best sellers at his Montgomery County locations.
