Montgomery County COVID-19 Monday Morning Update – April 13th
Based on the information found on state and county’s COVID-19 website and the Commissioner’s Saturday afternoon press release (no update was issued on Sunday), here is quick snapshot of the spread of coronavirus across Montgomery County, the Delaware Valley and Pennsylvania.
As of 10:00 AM Saturday morning, Montgomery County reported 120 new COVID-19 cases, down from the 193 new cases reported Friday.
The new positive COVID-19 cases reported Friday are from 28 municipalities, none of which reported their first case.
A breakdown of Friday’s reported new positive cases follows:
- Age Range: 2 to 97 years-old
- Age Brackets: (3) 0 – 9, (1) 10 – 19, (11) 20 – 29, (16) 30 – 39, (21) 40 – 49, (16) 50 – 59, (12) 60 – 69, (17) 70 – 79, (14) 80 – 89, (9) 90 – 99, (0) 100 – 109, (0) 110 – 119
- Gender: 61 females, 59 males
The 120 new positive cases brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 1,815 countywide.
Of those 1,815 confirmed cases countywide, 856 are male, 928 are female.
The average age of individuals with COVID-19 is 51.4 years-old with the youngest patient being a 1-month-old baby and a 110 year-old Abington man, the oldest.
Sixtyone of the county’s 62 municipalities are home to at least one individual with a positive COVID-19 diagnosis.
Of Montgomery County’s 61 municipalities, only one, Bryn Athyn Borough in the county’s southeast corner, reports zero cases of COVID-19.

Six new coronavirus related death of individuals ranging from 71 to 88 years-old were reported in Montgomery County on Saturday.
Nearly 40-percent of Montgomery County’s 68 COVID-19 deaths were in two municipalities; Springfield Township with 14 deaths and Upper Gwynedd Township with 12.
The new deaths moves the County’s COVID-19 death toll to 68, 13.4-percent of the 507 deaths attributed to the coronavirus statewide.
The County’s total number of reported cases represent 7.9-percent of the 22,883 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases across Pennsylvania.
By comparison, as of noon Friday, with the exception of Philadelphia County with 6,022 COVID-19 cases, neighboring and surrounding counties all have fewer positive coronavirus cases than does Montgomery County:
