Conshohocken is home to a small business haven with a community feel that is attractive for both business owners and visitors, writes GCEDC for the Philadelphia Magazine.

That was exactly what Daniela de Souza was looking for when she was deciding where to open her coffee shop Feine in 2012.

The shop is now famous for its signature drink Coco-’feine, a combination of dark chocolate, coconut, milk, and a double shot of espresso.

“The competition is less than being in Philly, but it was more about the community aspect,” she said.

She also operates two more locations around Conshohocken.

It was similar reasons that brought Stephanie Morinelli, owner of Deli on 4th, to the borough.

“What brought me to Conshy would be the love of the community,” she said. “It’s a tight-knit area.”

Morinelli first worked at the beloved corner store for a decade. Then after revamping it with the former owner, Morinelli decided to buy the business. However she ensured to keep its long-standing specialties, including the Godfather, a jazzed-up Italian hoagie, but added some modern touches, including online ordering.

She is now expanding the store by adding “The Smoothie Shack in the Back.”
