Sheltering in Place Creates Trash and Jobs at J. P. Mascaro

By

As the coronavirus places a severe strain on a company’s day-to-day operations, managers must weigh draconian cost-cutting options, including sadly, whether to lay off workers or cut back the hours existing employees work each week.

Managers at J. P. Mascaro & Sons, privately owned and family operated business with nearly 60 years of servicing Montgomery County businesses, schools and municipalities, are experiencing just the opposite.

While managers at the company are seeing some reduction in services on the commercial side of their business, business is ticking up in the company’s municipal and industrial sectors.

It turns out people working fewer hours or doing their regular work from home, are using their time at home to clean-up and declutter their house or apartment.

Trash and clutter, long stored in closets, basements, garages, and attics, is finding its way into bags and out to the curb for Mascaro pick-up and disposal.

Pat Mascaro, the company’s Director of Human Resources, put out a call saying his company is hiring new drivers, helpers, and mechanics to meet the unexpected and sudden demand.

Candidates interested in working for Mascaro can review and apply for an available position by either visiting the company’s Pottstown recruitment center at 221 East High Street in downtown Pottstown or by clicking through the “Career” section of the company’s website and pressing the “Apply Now” button.
