Six Montgomery County towns are among the twenty-nine best towns in Main Line and its western suburbs, writes Tara Behan for the Main Line Today.

Each town has a distinct personality and reputation with something different and unique to offer to its residents and visitors.

Ardmore is home to Ardmore Farmers Market, Trader Joe’s, and the trendy Suburban Square, along with a perfect Main Line starter neighborhood, Ardmore Park.

Bala Cynwyd and Merion offer quick commutes to Center City via SEPTA’s rail lines, an impressive restaurant scene, even including a 1920s-era movie theater.

Meanwhile, Bryn Mawr gives access to several prestigious private schools as well as top-ranked Lower Merion School District. It also has a walkable downtown with numerous fine-dining restaurants and neighborhood taverns.

Gladwyne is home to many local celebrities, including Oscar-winner M. Night Shyamalan, while Narberth offers the perfect option for buyers who want to make the transition from city to suburban life.

Finally, Wynnewood is home to Wynnewood’s Short Ridge Park, which is within walking distance of the playground, train station, and Wynnewood Shopping Center.
