The Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board has canceled the 15th Annual Valley Forge Revolutionary 5-Mile Run scheduled for April 19 at Valley Forge National Historical Park due to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation.

The 3-Mile Walk and Young Patriots Run have also been canceled.

All proceeds minus the online processing fee will be returned to sponsors and participants.

“We know that this is a challenging time for everyone,” said Kirsten Tallman, Race Director, “and this news may be disappointing, but the resources needed to organize, and execute, this event with more than 2,000 participants would have become difficult to maintain while allowing for important modifications to accommodate crowd alleviation, and social distancing.”

The 15th Rev Run will instead take place next year, on a date yet to be determined.

The race is organized by the VFTCB to raise funds to enhance the visitor experience at Valley Forge National Historical Park. Since the inaugural race, the VFTCB has given back more than $450,000.

“Together, we make a difference, and we will move past this to continue to do so,” said Tallman. “We hope folks will still Conquer the Valley with us in 2021.”
