Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board figures showed that while all casinos statewide achieved record-high gaming revenue last year, with a 4.5 percent increase over the previous year, Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia had by far the biggest bump, writes Laura Smythe for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The venue finished the year with a whopping 28 percent increase in total revenue from $129.5 million in 2018 to $165.8 million in 2019. T

he casino also dominated the new world of legal sports betting, where it raked in a $579.7 million handle. That more than doubled the amount that was placed at any other casino.

David Zerfing, Valley Forge Casino Resort general manager, pointed to online sports betting and the casino’s partnership with popular sports wagering company FanDuel as the catalysts for these skyrocketing numbers.

The venue is the only casino in Pennsylvania to partner with FanDuel Sportsbook, which debuted its on-site sportsbook at the venue in March last year.

The venue is also looking to capitalize on online gaming this year and launched an online casino in partnership with FanDuel in January.
