Montco’s Best Pizza Tournament is back for its fifth anniversary to once again determine who the true Pizza Champion of Montgomery County is.

Hosted by Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board, the March Madness-style bracket competition will see 64 contestants face off against each other for the coveted title.

Throughout February, VFTCB challenged Montgomery County residents and visitors to vote on the area’s best pizza shops. The hundreds of submitted nominations were then narrowed down to this year’s 64 finalists.

Voting for the first round starts today and is open to the public. The final round of voting will close on April 10.

“We are excited to celebrate the fifth-anniversary milestone of Montco’s Best Pizza Tournament,” said Rachel Riley, Director of Communications at VFTCB. “We have received a tremendous response from the community since the tournament began and are excited to see what the 2020 tournament has in store.”

The tournament began in 2016 and has now grown from the 32 pizza shops to 64 across 49 townships and boroughs.

Previous winners include Chiaro’s Pizzeria & Restaurant in 2016 and 2017, Bravo Pizza in 2018, and Via Veneto in 2019.
