Tivity Health, the new owner of Horsham-based Nutrisystem, is rushing to reassure shareholders that the sudden departure of its former president Dawn M. Zier will not throw the diet-meals company off track, writes Joseph N. DiStefano for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

To alleviate any concerns, the owner has emphasized that the company will now be led by a familiar team headed by Keira Krausz, Zier’s top aide.

According to Tivity, Zier “was mutually terminated“ a year after she agreed to sell Nutrisystem to its current owner for $1.4 billion. Zier had been at the head of the company for the last seven years.

Tivity saw its shares go down by as much as $2 when the news of Zier’s departure was announced. The company emphasized that her decisions “is not related to any disagreement” about “operations, policies or practices.”

Krausz, who is now in charge of Nutrisystem, was the company’s chief marketing officer starting in 2013. After the merger, she was named president of the renamed Nutrition Business Unit.
