NBC10 Video: Inside Look at New Stat-of-the-Art Willow Grove YMCA

By

With all the work nearly done, the new, state-of-the-art YMCA in Willow Grove that will replace two aging neighborhood YMCAs is getting closer to its opening dateaccording to Brandon Hudson from NBC10 Philadelphia.

The crews are working hard to finalize the transformation of a sprawling suburban summer camp into the region’s newest YMCA.

The facility will feature an indoor and outdoor running track, fitness center, basketball and pickleball courts, a gym studio, space for weights, yoga, and cycling.

It will also feature three swimming pools in different sizes that will be able to accommodate every water sport. It will also be home to Montgomery County’s Special Olympics Gymnastics Programs.

Like all other YMCA facilities, the newest location will be much more than just a sports center.

It will also be a center for the community where generations of families will be able to have access to opportunities such as gymnastics and swimming.

The Willow Grove location will be more than capable to accommodate members of both outgoing Hatboro and Abington facilities, as its size is bigger than both of the old locations combined.

Take a sneak peek at the new facility at NBC10 Philadelphia by watching the video below.
