Nine local educational organizations have received a total of $222,222 in donations from Hatboro Federal Savings, according to a staff report from the Montgomery Media.

All of the benefiting organizations had to meet the criteria for Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program. This allows tax credits for eligible businesses that donate to a scholarship, educational improvement, or pre-kindergarten scholarship organization.

Among the recipients are Upper Moreland Education Association, The Foundation for Lower Moreland Schools, Hatboro-Horsham Educational Foundation, and Union Library Company of Hatboro.

The latest donation is part of the bank’s long and proud history of supporting the communities it serves, according to Linda Roehner, Hatboro Federal Savings CEO.

“Each year, Hatboro Federal supports numerous educational foundations and organizations that benefit children of all ages in the communities we serve,” she said.

Roehner added that the bank is happy to support organizations whose missions are to improve educational opportunities for students.

“At Hatboro Federal, we consider educating children to be a top priority,” she said. “The more we can support programs that enrich their educational experiences, the better.”
