Several Montgomery County farms are offering their help to middle and high school students who would like to cultivate their vision on Pennsylvania agriculture and participate in the “Talk To Your State Senator” video competition, writes Gary Puleo for The Times Herald.

The competition challenges students to create a video around their idea of how to ensure a bright future for the agriculture industry in Pennsylvania.

Dave Dolga, Operations Supervisor at Nor-View Farm in King of Prussia, said no kids have come to him with questions so far, but if they do, he will be more than happy to help them.

“We’re here for them to video, supervised, whatever they need to enter the contest,“ he said.

Norristown Farm Park also offered its services as a resource for the contest.

The contest is sponsored by State Sen. Daylin Leach and is open to students in grades six through 12 throughout Pennsylvania. Students have the chance to win a total of $10,000 in prizes through a Pennsylvania Department of Treasury-administered college savings program.
