King of Prussia Mall is one of ten shopping centers in the nation that have become tourists destinations in their own right, writes Larry Bleiberg for USA Today.

These brick-and-mortar shopping centers continue to thrive and attract tourists even in an era where online shopping has forced many others to close their doors for good.

“They’ve managed to redefine the traditional mall,” said Corey Bialow, a retail real-estate broker and consultant working with national brands. “The whole idea that malls have died is overstated.”

One of the country’s biggest malls, King of Prussia Mall is a shopping mecca that is now made up of two centers rolled into one.

“They’ve done an excellent job of redeveloping,” said Bialow.

In addition, some of the recent changes include adding digitally native brands such as Warby Parker eyewear and a Peloton stationary bike showroom. There are also a plethora of new restaurants at the mall which is operated by Simon Property Group. These include Shake Shack, Sweetgreen, Yard House, and True Food Kitchen.
