Cirque Italia, America’s first traveling water circus, is currently wowing King of Prussia audiences with its Water Circus Gold Unit show, writes Emily Keel for The Montco Explorer.

Gold Unit “aims to produce a luxurious atmosphere where water, technology, and performing arts are mixed to create a one-of-a-kind show,” said the traveling company.

The water circus was started seven years ago by Manuel Rebecchi. It features a custom-designed water stage that can hold 35,000 gallons of water and a state-of-the-art water curtain that controls every drop of water as it spells out words and patterns as the liquid descends into the lagoon below.

But the water is far from the only star of the circus. Performers dazzle audiences each night with stunning feats of acrobatics and aquatics, ensuring that each show is unforgettable.

Aside from providing a spectacle, one of Cirque Italia’s biggest priorities is to provide the big top circus feel of old while still distinguishing their show as modern and unique.

The aquatic, acrobatic extravaganza was set up at King of Prussia Mall under the white and blue big top last week and will continue performing through Sunday.
