Welcome to the Perkiomen Valley Brewery.

And by that, we mean everyone is welcome!

For owners Kelly and Tom Weiss, who have two children in their 20s on the autism spectrum, it was important to make their taproom a comfortable and inclusive space for individuals with disabilities, writes Brian Bingaman for delcotimes.com.

Small batched, artisanal beers served in a unique taproom. We’ll be serving traditional styled beers to unique foraged & botanical ales handbrewed on site for you. And we’ll be serving them in a fully accessible taproom that is sensory and mobility friendly. Why are we doing this? Because, as a family with autism along for the ride, we know the challenges. We also know that things that make life meaningful and easier for our family, also makes life a lot more fun and easier for others, write the Weiss’s on their website.

Beyond wheelchair accessibility, PVB has a restroom with an adult-size changing table, a menu with font that those with dyslexia can read easier, lighting friendly to those with low vision, plus the open-to-all-ages Sensory Friendly Fort that has a fish tank, books, games and toys.
