Don’t miss the third annual Montgomery County Studio Tour taking place on June 15th and 16th throughout the county. This year Pottstown features prominently on the self guided tour with 16 artists in 5 studios that will be open to the public over the tour weekend. While visiting Pottstown make sure to stop by the Carousel on King Street. The custom carved animals revolving around this beautifully renovated historic amusement ride were hand painted and finished by area artists.
Art Fusion 19464, Tour stop #4, will also have their Summer Member Show on display along with five artists exhibiting their work specifically for the tour. Art Fusion 19464 is Pottstown’s thriving center for community arts of all kinds.

The family of County Studio Tours is the brainchild of Chester County artist Jeff Schaller. Jeff produces the annual tours to promote the visual arts in our region. Three years ago the CST organization added Montgomery County to the growing list of separate regional Studio Tours that now includes Delaware, Bucks, and Chester counties. Pottstown’s burgeoning art community is thrilled to welcome those who appreciate, collect, or are simply curious about the art and artists sprinkled throughout the community. Look for the “Studio Tour” signs along roadsides starting June 10th. The signs will help guide you to the various studio locations which are clearly designated with large “Meet The Artists” banners. Come out early on Saturday for a chance to purchase the coveted County Collector pieces created by tour artists and sold for special reduced prices on tour dates only.
The studios that are part of the tour are not normally open to the public, making this a rare chance to catch a glimpse of the artist’s spaces. This special opportunity to meet local artists not only lends depth and meaning to the work they create, but also increases the bond between neighbors. The people involved in the practice of art making are tucked into the local landscape, quietly creating. You are invited to come out and enjoy a weekend of discovery.
